Cougars Gone Wild

Porn, like most other things today, has become very specialized. While specialization makes it easier to find movies that cater to a particular fantasy, the flip side is that new genres and new terminology can sometimes cause a bit of confusion. Genres like All Girl and Lesbian, for instance, or Fresh Faces and Amateur have enough overlapping characteristics to make distinguishing between them somewhat difficult. Even more confusing is that moviemakers themselves have further muddied the waters.

In Cougars Gone Wild, the latest offering from Combat Zone, Director Zak Wylde attempts to pay homage to a harem of middle age hotties at the peak of sexual perfection. To his credit, the resulting scenes do firmly accomplish this. Blonde beauty Caresse bats in the lead-off slot. She is a young stud’s wet dream, composed and calculating until her sexual ferocity is awakened. The paw print tats that track across her midsection and the nipple rings that adorn her globular tits are bold and distinct, the markings of a skilled hunter. Like any good predator, she delightfully fingers her soft pussy, sliding in one, then two fingers as part of her ritualistic behavior. After locking on to her young male target, she feeds on his cock, jerking it slowly in the process. Still moments away from the kill, she temporarily submits herself to his advances, letting him spread open her legs and taste the competitive juices that flow from her gash. Trying to assert his dominance, he lets Caresse taste her own moistness, offering up his glistening fingers to her eager mouth. Though the first two scenes qualify, the next three feature costars whose age difference is much less noticeable. Further, the word “cougar” is a term loaded with the idea of feminine self-assurance and implies the act of aggression in a sexual tête-à-tête. CGW exhibits women in a more passive role, caving to seduction rather than enforcing it. MILF might have been the better choice here as that word also describes women in the 35-55 age group, but in a more objectified sense as presented in CGW.

Semantic jumbles aside, Wylde can’t be faulted too much for his decision-making. Much like “jumbo shrimp” or “military intelligence,” series such as Teen MILF have stretched the notion of MILFs to oxymoronic status. In the process, the word has become watered down. Again to his credit, Wylde also very wisely appears to be playing off the growing acceptance of the word “cougar” into the pop culture vernacular.

As it stands, Cougars Gone Wild is a good film, with sexy, older women who have been there, done that, and are still doing it better and harder than women half their age. They don’t need a lot of gadgets or gizmos or gimmicks, just a rock-hard cock on which to grind. Just don’t get too wrapped up in the language aspects in the title; that’s the job of a writer. However, you should understand that language is always in flux and it changes with the times – thankfully for the better. So, feel free to call them cougars or MILFs or whatever makes you gay.
